Over $3 million for the benefit of Fundación Manos Unidas por el Autismo

AES Dominicana Foundation raised more than three million pesos with the completion of its first golf tournament, held at the Teeth of the Dog at Casa de Campo complex. The funds were donated to Fundación Manos Unidas por el Autismo.

The golf tournament was held on Saturday May 30th, and 108 players and several companies joined this noble cause.

Fundación Manos Unidas por el Autismo performs commendable work on behalf of people living with the Autistic Syndrome Condition and their families, helping to improve their quality of life through specialized programs.

Donation to the House of Culture

AES Dominicana Foundation, through the Board of Trustees of the Development of Haina (PADESHA), carried out the delivery of an inverter with 2.5 kilo and 4 batteries to the House of Culture of Bajos de Haina as part of our collaboration to this development center of art and culture in order to help them to teach without having to be interrupted by the power failure.

AES also delivered a purchase order to buy materials for the ballet hall of the center.

At the ceremony, children and young students from the institution performed an artistic presentation of classical and contemporary ballet as a gratitude for this great contribution.

Donation of Uniform to Club Juan Alberto Ozoria

As part of the celebration of the 36th Holiday Baseball Tournament in Boca Chica, The AES Dominicana Foundation delivered 90 sets of uniforms to the club of Sports Recreation and Culture Juan Alberto Ozoria for the children category from 9-12 years old. Each uniform set included pants, jacket and cap.

The tournament began on July 7th and ended on August 30th.

AES Dominicana Foundation donates fully equipped fire truck to Boca Chica

Marco De la Rosa handed the equipment to Boca Chica senior, Daniel Ozuna, and Fire Dept. chief, Enerio Rodriguez.

"This donation is part of the collaboration that the company has been doing with the area’s firefighters since 2006, as neighbors with the AES Andres power plant. Furthermore we honor our commitment to the main corporate value, which is safety," De la Rosa said.

Boca Chica’s mayor and the fire chief also stated their gratitude to the company, not only for this particular occasion, but for AES Dominicana’s permanent support for the entity’s normal operations, such as the donation of fuel for the trucks and tools essential to carry out its duties.

The firefighters constantly collaborate with the company in conducting annual drills and education projects in topics of security for the communities.

Equipment

The US-made Ford Pierce B-6 Fire Truck had successfully completed all regulatory scrutiny for this type of secondhand vehicles. The vehicle was also accompanied by boots, helmets, radio chargers, motion sensors, a sky hook, ladders, stretchers, coats, pants, hoses and nozzles, among others.

Uniforms and Sports Equipment to Children

On July 30, 2012, we provided uniforms and sports equipment to children from the Ozuna League baseball located in the community of Brisas de Caucedo South, in Andres, Boca Chica. This donation is the 4th contribution we made since 2006, and included 60 sets of uniforms, 2 sets of catcher and 7 boxes of balls.
